Not so good new out of Atlanta today as Hawks guard Kyle Korver is expected to have his second surgery of the summer. Korver underwent surgery after his season was ended in the Eastern Conference Finals when he injured his ankle.
The ankle isn’t the problem this time, now it’s his right elbow that has some issues.
Following from Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports.
The Hawks say All-Star guard Kyle Korver is scheduled to have surgery tomorrow to remove loose bodies in his right elbow in NYC.

The surgery isn’t supposed to be serious but it is interesting that Korver decided to get a surgery now while he’s already hurt. This is Korver’s third procedure of the year if you also include his broken nose he had just a few months ago during the regular season. His recent attraction to the injury bug might not send a great sign to potential free agents DeMarre Carroll and Paul Millsap.
Luckyily for the Hawks, they acquired another shooting guard on NBA draft night by trading their pick to the New York Knicks for Tim Hardaway Jr to help with their bench depth going forward, especially now that Korver is getting older.
Hopefully for the best three-point shooter in the NBA, these procedures won’t do anything serious to his shot or how he plays because anything short of a 100% Kyle Korver would be a crime to the NBA and Hawks fans alike.
