The Cleveland Cavaliers nearly managed to get themselves into the series. After two blowout defeats in the Bay, the Cavs came within five points of pulling one back.
Unfortunately for Cleveland, they could not finish up the job. There were numerous plays late in the game that can be questioned: LeBron James having the ball stolen on his last shot attempt, Kyrie Irving going into iso mode for a tough contested jumper, the Cavs letting about 10 seconds go off the clock when they should have fouled.
But one play in particular will haunt Cavs’ guard Kyle Korver for some time: the missed three in the corner off a LeBron pass.
Following via Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com:
“All I’m thinking about is my shot in the corner,” Korver said. “I’m sure there’s a ton of mistakes, but that’s the one I’ll be thinking about.”
Korver has taken that shot thousands of times, hitting nearly 60 percent of them over the course of the season. That’s why James did not regret dishing the pass to him instead of forcing a shot going towards the rim:

It’s hard to disagree with LeBron but that shot is among several plays that will likely haunt the Cavs going into next season.
