While the race is a long way til the finish, three games into the season we’ve seen rookie sensation Kyle Fuller make his case for rookie of the year.
While the Bears offense has flourished under Trestman’s system, the defense has been pitiful to say the least. Last year they allowed the most rushing yards of any team in the league, and had a historically bad pass defense as well. This year, things look different, and Kyle Fulller is a big reason why. In 3 games he has 3 interceptions and they all came in big moments, when his team needed them the most.
Fuller, who was the 14th overall pick in this year’s draft has bolstered an otherwise miserable Chicago secondary. With injuries to seasoned pros Conte and Tillman, someone had to step up and the former Virginia Tech standout fits the bill.
