KV The Writer has recruited Mai Lee and Reggie Son for the “Figure Out The Rest” remix. The midwest posse cut brings together a trio of St. Louis-based artist who effortlessly weave their way in and out of the production’s melodic guitar strums as they sing and rap about finding love in The Lou.
“Your number starts with 3-1-4. Figure out the rest later,” KV The Writer sings before Mai Lee and Reggie Son add their signature styles to the soulful late-night anthem.
The smooth, addictive sound of the St. Louis posse cut highlights the city’s growing pool of talent. In recent years, the world has come to know the names of high-profile acts like Sexyy Red, NandoSTL, Metro Boomin’ and Big Boss Vette, but there is still room for the world to learn more about the likes of Mai Lee, Reggie Son and KV The Writer. Making the collaboration even more special, it’s the first time the trio has worked together to create an anthem for the city.
“I enjoyed sharing my artistry with KVtheWriter and Reggie Son. It was my first time working with them and I loved the experience. The song’s production is unique and allows each artist to stand out on the song,” Mai Lee said about “Figure Out The Rest.”
“I felt like I gave St. Louis a bit of sexy sauce with my vocals.”
