During the trade deadline, the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards made a deal centered around Markieff Morris. The troubled forward was sent to the Wizards in exchange for Kris Humphries, DeJuan Blair and a protected first round pick.
Blair was quickly waived by the Suns and Humphries career with the Suns has come to an end after only playing four games with Phoenix. Kris has been waived by the Suns.

The Humphries addition to the Hawks gives them a guy who can do two things pretty well. He can rebound and he can shoot, as of this year. The Wizards tried to make Humphries into a three-point shooter this year and it worked, until Humphries hit a cold streak and rode the Wiz bench until he was traded.
With Tiago Splitter going down for the season meant the Hawks were looking for more help inside. Mike Muscala will be getting increased minutes at center and Mike Scott will get more playing time but adding Humphries gives the Hawks a big who can rotate in and primarily get rebounds. His pick and pop ability will be a great addition to the Hawks offense for the remainder of the season going into the playoffs.
UPDATE: Humphries has officially signed with the Hawks.
The Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club has signed forward Kris Humphries, it was announced today by President of Basketball Operations/Head Coach Mike Budenholzer. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“As we explored opportunities to add to our team after the trade deadline, we felt it was important to prioritize experience and versatility,” Budenholzer said. “Kris is a versatile veteran with playoff experience who fits well with our group and within our system. We are fortunate to have Kris join our team and would like to welcome him to the Hawks family.”
