Following disparaging comments and immediate controversy, Kodak Black offers his version of an apology to Lauren London.
While Lauren London grieves the loss of her romantic partner Nipsey Hussle, Kodak Black took to Instagram live to share his thoughts. During the live-streamed session, Kodak Black exclaimed how he would give London a full year before making his move.
The comments met with immediate backlash from rappers such as T.I. and The Game put Kodak Black in hot water. His Hip-Hop predecessors vocally expressed their disdain for the Florida rappers antics.

Kodak Black did not only face backlash from other artists, fans of Nipsey Hussle expressed outward anger towards Kodak Black. Big Boy of 92.4 the REAL even pulled Kodak Black’s music permanently, as reported by The Blast. Many noted that these unnerving comments are only the most recent in Kodak Black’s stream of cancel-worthy actions.
As the backlash spread, Kodak Black returned to Instagram live to recant on his previous statements. During the second live session, Kodak shared his apology for disrespecting Lauren London even though he feels his comments were not profane.
“If I disrespected you Lauren London, in any shape or form, I’m sorry. Even though I didn’t” says Kodak Black in the now deleted post, reported by The Shade Room.
