On Monday afternoon, Kodak Black was indicted for first-degree criminal sexual conduct by a Florence County grand jury. The indictments stemmed from a February 2016 incident allegedly involving the Florida rapper and a fan in South Carolina.

The “No Flockin'” rapper could face up to 30 years in prison. Kodak is accused of sexually assaulting a teenager in a Comfort Inn and Suites in Florence County, South Carolina. The victim attended Kodak’s show and went with a friend to Kodak’s hotel room, according to the Orlando Sun Sentinel. The victim first reported the assault to a school nurse, who contacted police.
A warrant for Kodak Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was issued last May. However, Kodak was already in jail for armed robbery and false imprisonment charges. For the 20-year-old, Kodak’s legal trouble has become quite extensive.
Kodak was eventually transferred to the Florence County Detention Center in November 2016. A month later, he posted a $100,000 bond.
Prosecutors are preparing to go to trial with the case.
In the meantime, Kodak is trying to focus on his career and not his case. He was already barred from talking about it as part of his bond conditions. Earlier this month, Kodak completed court-ordered anger management classes as part of his sentencing.
His “Project Baby” tour is set to begin October 21 in Mountain View, California. It is unsure if the case will interfere with Kodak’s 16-date tour.
