Kobe Bryant has played more of a facilitating role since Steve Nash went down with injury, and especially more so in the past few games for the Lakers, but the All-Star guard says he will return back to his prolific scoring ways once Nash returns to the lineup from his fractured leg. Bryant scored just 19-points in yesterday’s win over the Mavericks, but did have 5-assists, including 4 in the first quarter.
“I’ve been doing that all year, especially since Steve (Nash) went down,” Bryant said. “I’ve been doing that a great deal. Scoring comes pretty easy for me, so I wind up kind of averaging what I average, even if I’m facilitating a lot.”
“I’ll be scoring a lot more [when Nash returns],” Bryant added. “I don’t have the facilitate as much. Everybody can kind of go to their natural positions. It enables me to do what I do best, which is to put the ball in the hole.”
