It’s safe to say the Lakers have had a sketchy run since Phil Jackson retired. And that’s translated in the team as well as the coaching staff.
While all that has gone on. The San Antonio Spurs have been the model NBA franchise. Sure they haven’t won a trophy in a little while but at least they’ve been consistent, and it’s that consistency that’s got Kobe jealous.
In a post by LakersNation.com they have shined a light on Kobe’s jealousy for Tim Duncan’s luckiness in terms of having the same HOF coach his entire career.
I’m jealous of Tim.
Playing for the same historically great coach for his entire career.
Trust me Kobe, we may not say it but we are all jealous of Duncan’s and Pop’s great relationship.
Back in the day when Kobe had Shaq and the Spurs were winning chips at the expense of the Lakers it’s was a great battle for dominance. But times have changed and the Lakers are now a lottery team while the Spurs are still a legitimate NBA Finals team. If I’m Kobe I’m counting the days till I get back to the Finals. That’s if the Spurs and the rest of the West have anything to say about it.
