So the Kobe return part 2 has finally begun. He was given a six week timetable to recover from his lateral tibial plateau fracture. Obviously it’s been a little longer than six weeks so the team declared him out for the season March 12th.
With Kobe’s injury still not healed, the amount of time he’d need to rehab and be ready to play, and the amount of time remaining in the season, we’ve simply run out of time for him to return
That was Athletic trainer Gary Vitti at the time the Lakers ruled him out for the season.
But now he’s back practicing. He had a two hour practice session Monday morning with Wesley Johnson and some of the training staff and hopefully he’ll be okay for the summer.
