Kobe Bryant Says Knee Is At Full Strength
Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant only played in six games this season after returning from the Achilles injury that ended his 2012-2013 season. Bryant fractured his knee shortly after returning in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies. In the latest update on his recovery for next season, here’s what Bryant had to say,
From a health standpoint, 100 percent. I started doing a lot of on-court training and so I’m back into my routine. Then I’ll start lifting and start doing the running, which I hate. By the time the season comes around, I’ll be ready to go.
Bryant will be entering his 18th NBA season as he looks to recover from yet another injury, though it sounds like extra time since the knee fracture has given him more of a feasible timetable for a healthy return. The Lakers, coming off the franchise’s worst season since moving to Los Angeles from Minneapolis with a 27-55 record, are still searching for a new head coach and will likely shake things up with their roster this summer. Any kind of resurgence in the next season will still be reliant on Bryant’s ability to return in top form.
