In a recent interview during NBA All-Star weekend in Houston, Texas with former NBA player Damon Jones, Kobe Bryant talked about a variety of topics from the Lakers season, twitter and about his future. His response wasn’t something NBA fans want to hear. Bryant, 34, said he has “Two years max” of playing in the NBA. Here’s his response:
“Probably two years max. Next year might be it. It’s one of those things I think I’ll wake up and I’ll know. And if it’s it for me then and that’s it. And there’s no looking back.”
Bryant said earlier in the year that it was likely he was going to retire after next season, but it’s still good to know that he’s open to playing two more years not counting this one. Despite having five championships, Bryant is still trying to chase more titles, he doesn’t want anything else at this point in his career.
