Kobe Bryant is one of the most polarizing figures in the NBA. He’s making the most money in the league but he’s not performing to his salary. He seems to be on his last leg with this team but the amount of time he plays, takes away from the younger players. Kobe see the writing on the wall and he knows it might be all over.
Los Angles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant said Thursday on SiriusXM Radio in a discussion with Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski that if things don’t change with his play and the team’s performance, this will be his last season.
Following from Frank Isola of the New York Daily News.
Kobe told Coach K on SiriusXM that "if something changes 'll come back and play next season. If something doesn't change this is it for me."

The 37-year-old is in the final year of his contract with the Lakers, making $25 million this season. The five-time NBA champion and 17-time All Star is averaging a career-worst 16.9 points per game, with 4.1 rebounds and a 33.6% field goal percentage through eight games played. The Lakers are 2–9 this season, and are currently in last place in the Western Conference Pacific Division and they’re also sitting 14th in the Western Conference.
This might be as true of a sign as any that this is Kobe’s final year in Los Angeles, unless a big trade happens.
