In the Lakers second preseason game Julius Randle showed why the Lakers front office was so high on him. Randle was all over the court last night causing havoc in route to 16 points, 5 boards and 4 assists.
When Bryant was asked about Randle’s skill he said the following:
Kobe called Julius Randle "Lamar Odom in Zach Randolph's body."

Lamar Odom played with Kobe from 2004-2011 where they made three final appearances, and won two titles. Odom was extremely valuable to the team being able to play multiple positions and do a little bit of everything on the court, plus to top it off they’re both left handed.
Zach Randolph is a left handed power forward who’s known for his insane strength and ability to finish around the basket.
The praise didn’t stop with Kobe however, Lakers big man Roy Hibbert gave Randle the ultimate compliment following the game:
Only time will tell if these comparisons were accurate but, if last nights game is any indication, Lakers fans should feel nothing but excitement!
