The Lakers worst nightmare has come into reality once again. It’s sad stuff but I think we will always take solace in the fact that he won’t retire like this.
Final word from the doctor today is still to come, but I’m told the Lakers are expecting Kobe to miss the rest of the season.

With this news dropping. What will happen to the Lakers after this season? They have Julius Randle. They’ll definitely have a top five pick in this years NBA Draft. Who would want to stay when Kobe is literally on his final puffs of smoke? If you aren’t on a contract. Would you seriously stay? I definitely wouldn’t. I’d bolt.
But back to Kobe though. How long d’you think he’ll last? Do any of you believe that he’ll last a whole season? Because that’s the only way he’ll want to retire. I can’t see him going a full season without getting injured. He does too much not to get injured. Either he stops jacking up shots, or he’ll be injured until he retires.
