Just days after telling his team’s critics to “shut up” Kobe Bryant says it’s now panic time for the winless Lakers following their loss to Staples Center co-tenants, the Clippers. The Lakers are off to their worst start since 1978 and the superstar was blunt in his response to questions about the Lakers poor start.
“When is it time to push the panic button on this grand experiment?
“Now,” Bryant said.
Mike Brown is certainly feeling the pressure, criticized for implementing the Princeton offense, there is already calls for a new coach to come and lead the star-studded lineup. Brown admitted things were tense for the Lakers.
“We need a win, obviously,” Brown said. “I’m not trying to fool anyone here. That’s part of the reason Kobe played the minutes he played, which is too many.”
