Michael Beasley is reportedly close to joining the New York Knicks after spending a season with the Milwaukee Bucks. He registered career-high shooting percentages in his first full season back in the NBA after bouncing between the NBA and Chinese league teams from 2014-2016.
Following comes from Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders and Ian Begley of ESPN.

Barring an unforeseen trade, Michael Beasley's NYK deal will likely be for the vet. minimum since that's all they can offer at the moment.

The Knicks roster certainly could undergo a huge overhaul soon if Carmelo Anthony is indeed traded but as it currently stands, Beasley would be a backup forward to both Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis, splitting bench time with Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Lance Thomas.
Could Beasley crack the Knicks rotation? Possibly, but it really depends on an injury or Carmelo Anthony trade. He’s a good body to have deep on the bench who could provide some high energy much like fellow former number two overall pick Derrick Williams did two seasons ago.
