Madkins has worked for several NBA teams since retiring as a player, including the Clippers, Sonics, Rockets and New Orleans Hornets. He was a scout for the Knicks back in 2003.
Madkins has served as the Clippers’ assistant general manager the past two seasons, working closely with Doc Rivers, Dave Wohl and others on building a championship contending roster.
The Knicks have had a mostly quiet offseason to this point, drafting Frank Ntilikina in June and signing Tim Hardaway Jr. to a four-year free agent contract. They remain interested in moving Carmelo Anthony, who reportedly has interest in joining the Houston Rockets.
