Charles Oakley, a man who spent a decade as a member of the New York Knicks going to the playoffs multiple times including a trip to the NBA Finals, was ejected from a Knicks game last night. According to a report, Oakley was harassing Knicks owner James Dolan and was asked to leave shortly after he arrived at the game. Oakley sees it differently.
The NBA legend was recently a guest on Stephen A. Smith’s radio show, and the big man spoke about the incident and what happened at the Garden from his perspective. Oakley said he was approached by “9,10” members of MSG security and told he was supposed to leave. But he says that he only reacted the way that he did because he felt threatened. Oakley was then forcibly removed from the arena. Oakley also says he never said anything to Dolan and has no ill will towards the Knicks owner. Oakley also said that every time he goes to a game, he’s followed by security, even into the bathroom.
But the team is doubling down on their claim that Oakley was being demonstrative at the game and brought the ejection upon himself. The Knicks released the following statement through their public relations team.

Now it’s a ‘he said, they said’ scenario, and there might not be an end in sight. But Oakley is currently facing criminal charges and has apologized multiple times for his actions, primarily apologized to the fans and those in attendance at the game on Wednesday night.
