There are a lot of questions about the Golden State Warriors that won’t be answered until next season comes around. All of them are because of the arrival of Kevin Durant.
Don’t get it twisted, they’re not the worst problems in the world but with such a transformative player coming in, without proper planning they could suffer. Back in OKC Kevin Durant was always getting the ball but in Golden State, ball movement could sometimes stall with people doing isolation plays. Klay Thompson was recently on KNBR’s Tolbert & Lund and mentioned that ball movement will not be an issue.
“What does that mean?” Thompson said. “There’s one ball. Guess what we’ll do — we’ll put in the hoop. And the open man will do it, or the hot hand. I mean, we got such high-IQ players, I don’t think it’ll be that hard to figure out.“
Sure, it isn’t hard to figure out and the Warriors are pretty much a well oiled machine. But like a machine, if something faulters, the machine stops. It’s the same with every team but if anyone can keep it together it’s these Warriors.
