Klay Thompson ain’t having none your mess, Doc Rivers. Recently, the Clippers head coach made some heads turn when he said the NBA champion Warriors were lucky not to face his team in the playoffs. Well the starting shooting guard for the 67-win and altogether dominant Warriors team disagrees:
Klay Thompson: "If we got lucky, look at our record against them last year. I'm pretty sure we smacked them."

And if that were not enough, Thompson brought up the Clippers’ somewhat humiliating loss to the Houston Rockets in the second round of the playoffs:
Klay Thompson: "Didn't they lose to the Rockets? Exactly. So haha. That just makes me laugh. That's funny. Weren't they up 3-1 too?"

The Warriors ended up beating the Rockets in the Western Conference Finals in fairly quick fashion, making this the perfect comeback to Rivers incendiary remarks. Thompson wanted to make it extra clear, however, that he was not afraid of playing the Clippers in the playoffs had things worked out:
Klay: "I wanted to play the Clippers last year, but they couldn't handle their business"

This is a whole new side to Klay Thompson and I absolutely love it. Of course here’s the best part about this whole interview:
Klay Thompson said all this while chewing on sunflower seeds.

The Warriors are set to host the Clippers for the first of four times on November 4th, when they will also be handing out replica championship rings to fans. Get excited.
