After suffering a hard knee to his head last week, Klay Thompson appeared to have concussion-like symptoms following game 5 of the Western Conference Finals, according to his father. When Trevor Ariza’s knee connected with Klay’s head and caused Thompson’s ear to bleed, there was an immediate uproar from people everywhere wondering what Thompson was actually diagnosed with by the team.
It turns out Thompson had a concussion after all and was listed out indefinitely by the Warriors. It now appears that Thompson will be cleared by the NBA and Warriors and is good to go for Thursday’s game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
ESPN’s Marc Stein was first to report Thompson was cleared.

Then, Yahoo! Sports Marc J Spears follows up with Thompson passing the NBA’s concussion protocol.

Thompson had been practicing in bunches with the team, taking his own shootaround and avoiding contact drills. For almost a week know he’s been telling everyone he was going to be good to go for the first game of the Finals and he ended up being right.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr had no worries that Thompson would be good to go for Game 1 of the NBA finals and he was right. Thompson passed the test and now the Warriors have nothing to worry about with their entire team having a clean bill of health.
