Last night, Klay Thompson started hitting shots early and often and it just snowballed into one of the best shooting displays of all-time. The Golden State Warriors All-Star guard hit went 21-33 from the field and 8-14 from three, on his way to a career-high 60 points in only three quarters as the Warriors decimated the Pacers, 142-106.
Thompson played only 29 minutes in the game as the Warriors had the victory in hand going into the fourth quarter. Check out some of Thompson’s highlights below.
This is what Klay's career-high 60 point shotchart looks like.

Quite possibly the most amazing fact about Thompson’s fantastic shooting display is his personal time of possession. As Dan Feldman of NBC Sports points out, Klay only possessed the ball last night for 1:28 seconds. Since the NBA began publishing time of possession numbers in the 2013-14 season, Thompson’s 60 point output has him at the top of the list for most post scored in the shortest amount of possession time. It’s the third highest scoring among active players only behind Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. It is not only his career-high but also the current NBA season-high.
Klay has the record for most points scored in a game while possessing the ball for fewer than two minutes and he also has three of the top five outputs on that list. When he’s hot, he’s hot.
