Kit Harington has been featured in a new photo from Spooks: The Greater Good.
The actor stars as an MI5 agent in the big screen spinoff of the BBC spy series, while Peter Firth returns to his role as MI5 chief, Harry Pearce.
Spooks: The Greater Good focuses on terrorist Adam Qasim, who escapes from MI5 custody during a handover to the head to counter-terrorism. When Pearce vanishes, his protégé Will Crombie is forced to find out what happened before the clock ticks down to an attack on London.
Bharat Nalluri, director of the original series, will also direct the movie version.
The film is written by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, and will be produced by Jane Featherstone and Stephen Garrett, alongside Shine’s Ollie Madden.
The Spooks series, known as MI-5 in the US, ran for 86 episodes from 2002 to 2011. It also spawned a short-lived spinoff, Spooks: Code 9, in 2008.
No word yet on a release date for Spooks: The Greater Good.
