It’s election night across the United States and the country is captivated as numerous elections are coming down to the wire. In the state of Florida, gubernatorial and senate elections are within 1%. Down in the state of Georgia, early signs show that the hotly contests race between Stacey Abrams and Brian Kemp will come down to the wire. Not to mention, races in California are yet to even come in yet. With that being said, some races are already in the book. For example, Kirsten Gillibrand is projected to be reelected to the senate after winning her race against Republican candidate Chele Farley.
Born in upstate New York, Gillibrand has been a senator within the state of New York since 2009. Tonight’s election delivered her a victory margin of nearly 60%. If the New York senator continues her ascent within the Democratic Party, she will definitely be a formidable candidate in the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. Prospective Democratic competitor, Elizabeth Warren, also cruised to victory during her midterm race against Geoff Diehl. Other prospective Democratic nominees include Kamala Harris and Corey Booker.
