Andrei Kirilenko for some reason has fallen out of new Nets coach Lionel Hollins’ rotation and is now a glorified bench warmer. At 33 years old, AK can still provide value to a team with his hustle and effort he brings on a nightly basis.
Rumors have it that the former all-star is on the trade block. Rumors were he was going to Philly, Cleveland, the Clippers, and few weeks back sources said a return to Utah, where he spent the first eight years of his career.
First reported by Marc Stein in November, that rumor has surfaced again where Kirilenko would be sent to Utah for little known Jeremy Evans and Toure’ Murray.
According to Netsdaly.com however the Nets nor Kirilenko’s agent have not spoken to the Jazz and that there is no trade and that other sources have “shut the rumor down.”
That doesn’t mean a trade won’t be coming, as Ak-47 clearly won’t be seeing the floor anytime soon with the Nets, when other teams would surely love to have the 6’9 Russian who can play both forward positions.
