The Seattle Supersonics played their last game in the city of Seattle in April of 2008. Just about a decade later, the NBA is getting ready to return to the ‘Emerald City’.
No, the SuperSonics aren’t bringing the team back with a full roster but an NBA game will take place at the Key Arena. The Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings are reportedly going to play a preseason game in Seattle.

The Kings and Golden State Warriors have scheduled a preseason game next season in Seattle, according to multiple league sources.
The Oct. 6 meeting between Northern California teams will be the first NBA game in the Key Arena since the Sonics moved to Oklahoma City after the 2007-08 season and became the Thunder.
The contract for the game has not yet been signed, but that is considered a formality.
The rumors of an NBA return to Seattle have rumbled more than ever over the last couple of years. It was previously reported that the NBA was looking to bring a team to Seattle but only if they can get another team to equal out the league. But Adam Silver has gone on record to shut down any expansion rumors but hasn’t closed the door on a team possibly relocating.
