The Sacramento Kings have been busy this off-season, adding depth to their already youthful and talented starting lineup. They decided to sign Luc Mbah A Moute earlier this week, but after complications during the physical process of his assessment, they have voided his contract. According to the Sacramento King’s Press Release:
“The Sacramento Kings today announced that free agent forward Luc Mbah a Moute has failed a physical examination administered by team medical staff. Subsequent to that finding, his contract signed on July 14 has been voided, according to Kings Vice President of Basketball and Franchise Operations Vlade Divac.”
The physical test that every player has to do before getting signed is a routine, in order to find out if that player can actually perform the job he is being hired for. You can’t sign a basketball player that is riddled with injuries, it doesn’t make sense. Moute will have to the end of the off-season to try to get healthy in order to re-try for an NBA contract. Otherwise, it will be tough.
