The Sacramento Kings have seemingly steadied the ship, moving on from the DeMarcus Cousins fiasco that didn’t actually have DeMarcus Cousins as the main culprit. I know right?! That’s how dysfunctional the Kings are. Especially Vivek Ranadive, the owner who thinks he knows basketball but clearly doesn’t.
But that all seems over now and they’re finally getting some contracts. Their latest one being Omri Casspi, signing him to a 2-Year, $6 Million deal.
A person with knowledge of the details says the Sacramento Kings and swingman Omri Casspi have reached an agreement on a $6 million, two-year deal.
The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity Sunday night because contracts can’t be completed until the moratorium on NBA free agency ends Thursday. ESPN first reported the contract discussions.
Casspi was drafted by the Kings in 09 and since then has gone to other teams but always seems to be back in Sacramento before you realise that he was somewhere else.
Don’t know if he just loves the city or something. Certainly can’t be the smooth organisational tactics of the Kings that’s for sure. Statistically Omri Casspi is not the greatest player. Only 7.9 PPG in over 20 minutes on average. That would make me not sign him to be honest but the Kings know him so I guess that’s something. A familiar face.
