According to TNT’s David Aldridge a trade between the Sacramento Kings and the Brooklyn Nets has been done, and it’s not one we saw coming.
The Kings trade off guard Marcus Thornton in exchange for Brooklyn guard Jason Terry and forward Reggie Evans.
This trade has no draft picks or cash attached.
This is an interesting one to look at. Thornton has been in the Kings organisation for some time but not doing much in terms of stats, leadership etc. I love that they got Evans, solid rebounder of the bench and a great locker room personality. I’m not sure about Terry. He’s not having a good year, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets waived by the Kings.
For Brooklyn I think this is in response of Williams’ lacklustre season. Maybe get in a player that will up everyone’s game and start a battle for minutes between Williams, Thornton, Livingston and Andersen.
