Fox suffered the injury December 14th, but the Kings diagnosed it as a contusion initially. We know now that the injury is more serious than perceived. In his absence, George Hill and Frank Mason III will likely take over point guard duties. The Kings have expressed interest in trying to trade Hill, so this period could be used to showcase him to teams. Mason III has been a pleasant surprise for the team, averaging eight points and three assists per game.
De’Aaron Fox is averaging 9.4 points per game while dishing out 3.7 assists.
