Newsflash! It’s very tough to reach the playoffs in the Western Conference. Okay, maybe thats already common knowledge. But winning the games you are SUPPOSED to win isn’t always an easy task. Especially against those tough nose teams who thrive off a defensive identity.
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Rose-less Bulls Thursday Night, 103-88. A very winnable game for Sacramento, & one that’s necessary if the Kings wish to once again reach the playoffs. Winning games you are supposed to & taking advantage of injuries that other teams are struggling with.
DeMarcus Cousins ‘boogied his way to another double-double with 22 points, & 14 rebound, & Rudy Gay added 20 points as the Kings advance to 7-5 on the season.
The Bulls were once again without Derrick Rose & Pau Gasol also sat out for Chicago as their 6 game road winning streak was snapped.
It was fun matchup as always with Cousins & Noah, two of the best big men in the NBA. It looked as if the Bulls were going to contain Cousins as he started off struggling. But Boogie got it going in the 2nd half, as did the bench who has been big for the Kings all season long.
The Kings will face the Wolves Saturday Night.
The Bulls will face the Blazers Friday Night.
