Legendary Pictures has announced a new King Kong movie this weekend at Comic-Con.
The film is currently titled ‘Skull Island’ and is slated to hit theaters on November 16, 2016.
A short teaser debuted during the presentation that featured a journey through an island before ending on King Kong beating on his chest.
The first King Kong movie opened in 1933 with a reboot following in 1977 starring Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange.
King Kong was last seen back in 2005 with Andy Serkis playing the monster in the Peter Jackson directed film. It pulled in $550 million worldwide and boasted a big budget of $207 million.
