In addition, he earned the number four spot on the Billboard 200 Charts with his debut album, American Teen. Most recently, Khalid has collaborated with Future, Calvin Harris, H.E.R., Halsey, Logic and many more. Not to mention, he’s received his fair share of platinum plaques. On Friday, October 19th, Khalid will release the first project since his debut album. Titled Sun City, the project will pay homage to his hometown of El Paso, Texas. At the American Music Awards last week, the singer said, “I’ve been working so hard to make music that really emulates what’s inside of me.” He also added, “I’ve really been taking risks, so hopefully the risks pay off.”
The singer has not yet revealed if there are any features on this project, but he did let fans know that his most recent single, “Better”, will be on the project. Stay tuned for more details about Sun City as they unfold this week. For now, you can stream “Better” here on Def Pen.
