Marking 10 years since we were first introduced to Keyshia Cole with her debut album, The Way It Is, the singer has stood the test of time and has continuously kept the public interested in what’s next for her. While presenting at this year’s BET Awards, the singer let the world know that she was working on a brand new album, independently, due out this year. Fast-forward to almost 2 months later and Keyshia has decided to share with us just exactly what she’s been working on in the form of a new record titled, ‘Best Friend’.

While not being immune to criticism, many have wanted Keyshia Cole to return to the same feel that she gave fans with her debut and sophomore albums. The short clip of ‘Best Friend’ gives a glimpse of hope that the singer has done just that, all without regressing and sounding dated. As this marks album number 7, this may just be the lucky break for the ‘I Changed My Mind’ singer.
