Its safe to say that Kevin Ware was the emotional boost that Louisville needed to take the national championship due to the freak injury he had earlier in the tournament.
But Ware is not a cheerleader, he’s a basketball player and in terms of minutes, he hasn’t got enough. So he does the smart thing and decides to transfer.
For his senior season he will now be a student at Georgia State.
He confirmed this via a text message to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Ware mutually parted ways with Louisville last month after a season in which he played just nine games and averaged 1.7 points
He will seek a medical redshirt and have two seasons of eligibility left for the Panthers
He had an injury mid December and that shut his season down, which is why he’s seeking the medical redshirt.
There are many reason players transfer. Academics, don’t get along with other players. In this case it’s a new start. His family lives in Georgia so it’s a no brainer.
