The Wizards lost their backup center and defensive anchor off the bench, Kevin Seraphin, as he will move on to New York to be a member of the Knicks. It was speculated and expected that the big man would be moving on from DC, but when he was left unsigned this late into the offseason, it appeared he could be staying with the Wizards.

Seraphin may not be able to get the starting minutes he was looking for, but with only a one-year deal on a not as talented team, this could be a huge opportunity to showcase his talents. With so many other veteran pieces on the Wizards, it was tough to be “the guy” at times, but now, he may have a few chances for that to be the case off the bench.
Wizards fans will truly miss the French big man who has been with them since he was traded from the Bulls on draft day. Seraphin was easily a fan favorite because of his Snapchat stories, his goofy styles, and his hustle on the court, but next time the Knicks come to Verizon Center, he is sure to get a huge applause.
