Houston Rockets coach Kevin McHale has agreed to a three-year contract extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. The three-year deal is worth nearly $13 million with a no team option heading into Year 3. McHale was in the final season of his three-year deal with the Rockets and just completed an agreement on a new deal this morning, sources say.
The Rockets have started the season 20-7 under McHale this season and are ranked 3rd in defense, 18th in offense and 10th in rebounding. The Rockets take on the Memphis Grizzles Friday night.
