The Minnesota Timberwolves are a relatively young squad. And they’ve had a half decent season considering Ricky Rubio’s absence. But now they’ve taken another key blow as the Minnesota Timberwolves had released a statement saying that Kevin Martin is out indefinitely due to a fractured right wrist.
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) taken at Mayo Clinic Square on Kevin Martin’s right wrist revealed a fracture. He will be sidelined indefinitely. Further evaluation will be done over the next few days to determine the next course of action.
The injury occurred at the 6:48 mark of the first quarter during Minnesota’s 115-99 win over New York on Wednesday, November 19.
Through nine games this season Martin is averaging 20.4 points on 48.3 percent shooting from the floor and 48.1 percent from the three-point line.
Kevin Martin has been a real machine for the T’Wolves. This season he’s looked like the good old KMart from his Houston days. The T’Wolves have a big problem. Who’s going to score the points now? Maybe the T’Wolves will finally bump up the bounce brothers’ minutes. I’m talking about Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine. LaVine hasn’t impressed me. I wonder if he’s one of those players that can dunk but can’t do much else. Like Gerald Green back in the day. Wiggins on the o is shand is slowly but surely playing like he’s the number 1 pick.
