Kevin Love is a simplistic player. He gets given a job and he tries to do it well. Now even though he may be a little delusional about what his role is as a Cleveland Cavalier. We all know that he is simply a stretch 4 offensively. That’s only because the Cavs want him to be that. Cleveland like to have 4 men on the perimeter and 1 man inside, to Love’s distaste.
Even though he’s in a position that he’ll most likely ditch in the offseason. He’s on the Cavs and needs to produce. But what we didn’t know is that he has had back spasms since November according to ESPN.com and will continue to nurse it until the end of the season.
“It’s something I want to get right before we get to the playoffs, because that’s what’s most important at this point,” Love, 26, told ESPN.com before Saturday’s practice in preparation for Sunday’s game against the Magic. “It’s not something that’s — I’m going to have to address my body. But I address my body every offseason. I’ll go from my toe all the way up to my head to try to figure out how to better my body for next season. It’s not something that’s going to bother me down the road.“
I find that weird. The fact that he won’t do anything about it until the end of the season. I mean. It is just back spasms. If he rests now he will be 100% come Playoff time. He’s not exactly stuffing the stat sheet for the Cavs. Kyrie and LeBron are pretty much carrying the team with the supporting cast of Mozgov, Smith and Shumpert doing the rest of the work. Who’s Love kidding. He isn’t going to stay next season. If he does I will be dumbfounded.
