Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love re-signed with the team on a five-year deal after missing all but four games of the Cavs’ postseason run to the NBA Finals this past June. Love suffered a dislocated left shoulder in the first round of his very first appearance in the playoffs against the Boston Celtics.
According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, Love is expected to be back to on-court activities in about a week:
Kevin Love says he’ll be back on the court in 7-10 days. Not sure yet when he can face full contact but should be ready for camp

Love averaged 16.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game in his first season with the Cavaliers, who were starting to take a more complete and frightening form before Love went down in the first round. The Cavs had enough to carry on and win the East, but the additional blow of Kyrie Irving’s knee injury in the Finals was too much to overcome.
Kevin Love was one of the 34 players invited to Team USA’s basketball minicamp this week in Las Vegas. Love did attend for eligibility purposes to play for the team, but was not required to participate. The priority for Love will be meeting his timeline and getting his body healthy and ready for training camp.
