Kevin Love’s shoulder injury suffered against the Boston Celtics in Game 4 will be evaluated in Cleveland on Monday. Love did not return to the game but the Cavaliers managed to sweep the Boston Celtics out of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on Love’s timetable:
Nothing will be known for sure until MRI but word within Cavs team tonight is Kevin Love likely out a minimum of 2 weeks.

Of course, since both series started 3-0, discussions about Cavaliers-Bulls in the second round have already begun. Love’s presence has been more significantly felt for the Cavaliers this postseason, and what he brings as a match up advantage is particularly key against the Bulls.
Chicago just barely avoided sweeping the Bucks but still lead the series 3-1. Assuming history isn’t about to be made by Milwaukee, we’d be looking at the Cavs-Bulls series potentially starting next weekend. That buys Love and the Cavaliers at least some time, but based on the projection they won’t have Love’s services for at least two games of the next round.
After a feisty Game 4 that could also potentially result in a suspension for J.R. Smith, Love’s injury becomes an even bigger blow to the Cavaliers going into the next round.
