Cleveland Browns cornerback Kevin Johnson was released from a Cleveland area hospital after suffering a lacerated liver during a team practice on Wednesday.
As of now, any timeline for a return is considered week-to-week.
#Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said really good news CB Kevin Johnson is out of hospital, no procedure needed, we’re going to take it week by week in terms of when he’ll be able to return

Johnson was doing a redzone drill trying to defend a pass against tight end Harrison Bryant when the injury occurred. Bryant landed on top of Johnson after the two went up for the ball.
The defensive back signed a one-year, $3.5 million contract with Cleveland this offseason after spending 2019 with the Buffalo Bills. He had been playing really well in Browns camp thus far.
In case anyone was wondering — my big takeaway from Day 2 of @browns camp was that @obj looked Healthy and DOMINANT….made the extremely difficult look routine and was creating tons of separation. Also Kevin Johnson continues to stand out and impress

Before that, Johnson spent four years in Houston with the Texans, the team that drafted him 16th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Wake Forest.
Kevin Johnson has 164 tackles, an interception, and a fumble recovery in his five NFL seasons.
