The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking good for the future. Whether you think they’ll be good next season or not is not the point. They probably won’t make the Playoffs next year.
Or maybe they’ll do a Boston and completely surprise us all. I mean they do have THREE number 1 Draft Picks on their roster for crying out loud, you’d think they would be half decent by now. But we’ll just have to wait and see how Wiggins will get better, how Towns will fair in the NBA, and if Anthony Bennett will be traded or not because he is nearing ‘Bust’ status.
Speaking of Towns, it is very likely that he will be in the Rookie of the Year conversation. He’ll probably win it. 1, because he’s a beast. And 2, he has a future Hall Of Famer in Kevin Garnett to learn from. At least that’s what TwinCities.com is saying. That’s right, KG will be in Minnesota next year.
Although it hasn’t been announced, pending free agent Kevin Garnett definitely will re-sign with the Wolves, and Saunders definitely will return as coach.
Now if I was KG, I’d love to have Towns play under my wing and become as good as Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. Help prove that the next 10-15 years will be the Golden Age of the Big Man, even though teams are going for the small ball more often.
Update as of 07/07/2015
The moratorium is about to be lifted which means that everybody that have agreed on new deals and can officially put their name onto paper. Kevin Garnett is one of those players. As we know the future Hall of Famer will most likely retire with the team that drafted him all those years ago. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, KG is going to sign a 2-Year deal with the T’Wolves.
ESPN sources say Kevin Garnett will be signing a two-year deal with Minnesota when leaguewide moratorium is lifted later this week

KG naturally must assess how he feels after coming season but sources say he plans to play in 20-min range in ’15-16 & go past 40th birthday

Those two years will be very good for KG, he is currently looking at a young squad that has some definite promise. And that should give him something to smile about.
