Minnesota Timberwolves legend Kevin Garnett doesn’t have the friendliest relationship with current management and the former All-Star isn’t shy in sharing his feelings about them.
Garnett, who is currently hosting Area 21 on TNT, has also discussed his desire to one day own the Timberwolves.
In an interview with Vice Sports, the former NBA championed was asked his preference of NBA teams to watch. Garnett answered but not without a quick jab in the direction of Minnesota’s front office.
Following from Michael Pina of Vice Sports,
I’m more with individuals versus the teams. I’ve gotta admit that. I’ve gotta say that Embiid, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jokic, Porzingis, Damian Lillard, Curry, Durant, I’m enjoying the young bucks, watching young Ingram get better and watching little L. Ball figure it out, you know what I’m saying? I’m checking it all out. I like individuals, not so much on the organizations. Obviously I’m gonna be with Minnesota and the players. Not so much upstairs. I don’t really deal with Minnesota’s upstairs. They suck.
Wolves owner Glen Taylor and Garnett haven’t been on the same page since Garnett was informed plans that involved him gaining an ownership role were nixed. Garnett also took issue with how the team handled the passing of former head coach Flip Saunders.
Garnett recently expressed similar sentiments when he shared that he is still interested in owning the team, but not alongside Taylor.
