Kevin Garnett: “I Figured If LeBron Can Go Home, S**t , Why Can’t I?”
In Kevin Garnett‘s first media presser back with the Minnesota Timberwolves, one of his initial comments was one of the most quotable, via TNT’s David Aldridge:
Kevin Garnett, at his welcome back to ‘Sota presser: “I figured if LeBron can go home, (s—), why can’t I?”

Garnett’s “homecoming” is a big deal for the obvious and nostalgic reason that he started his career in Minnesota and is the franchise’s all-time best player. As told by the stats below:
The Timberwolves added 1,000 extra tickets for Garnett’s return game. It looks like he’ll start at power forward for Minnesota on Wednesday. For this mostly young team, Garnett’s role is about stability and mentorship on and off the floor as one of the strongest mentalities the league has ever seen.
From Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press after Garnett’s first practice:
Rubio on KG’s 1st practice: “he already yelled at Pek twice to get back on defense. I don’t think Pek has been yelled at his entire career”

Garnett also has open interest in buying the Minnesota Timberwolves. We’ll see how soon that develops. For now it’s just about this full circle and just the thought of Kevin Garnett back in a no. 21 uniform in Minnesota.
