Oklahoma City Thunder star is ready to go tonight when the Thunder face off against the New Orleans Pelicans in the second part of a back-to-back with them. Russell Westbrook shouldered the load in the last encounter with the Pelicans by tying his career-high of 45 points. Durant looks to return and get his team one step closer to the playoffs.
The real issue Durant has is with those who might be a little critical for him being picked for the 2015 NBA All-Star Game in New York City by the coaches. He’s missed 22 games to this point in the season, just about half his teams games, so the criticism is a little bit warranted for the reigning MVP.
Durant has heard everyone’s criticism and now he has a message for those who wants to step up and take what he’s been picked to appear in.

Kevin Durant on his All-Star selection: "Whoever want my spot can play me one-on-one for it"

Durant was picked as a reserve, so don’t be too alarmed to find out the reigning MVP was picked by the coaches, who know his affect and value to the Thunder better than anyone else.
Maybe Durant knows that he holds the top spot in the NBA on points per play on isolation plays with 1.17 (stat courtesy ESPN) just ahead of fellow All-Star Kyrie Irving.
It will be interesting to see if anyone takes Durant’s challenge. There might be a point guard in Portland who plays for the Trail Blazers in the form of Damian Lillard who might take Durant up on this challenge since Lillard feels he was snubbed by those who picked All-Stars.
Then of course, there’s also Durant’s sworn rival, rapper Lil B.
