Kevin Durant hasn’t played since December 18th because of an ankle injury, but it looks like the reigning MVP is set to return to the Thunder lineup Wednesday.
Durant injured his ankle in the first half against the Warriors after dropping 30 points and has missed OKC’s last six games. The Thunder have gone 3-3 with Durant absent.
Durant went through a full practice on Monday and looked like his MVP self accoridng to members of the Thunder.
“He was very lively and active on both ends of the floor,” coach Scott Brooks said. “He’s progressing well. We’ll see how he feels tomorrow and go from there.”
Kendrick Perkins said Durant shined in their team scrimage and that he should be ready for game action.
“On the White team he scored 13 of the 17 points in about five minutes of the scrimmage,” Perkins said. “So, yeah, he looked real good.”
The Thunder are currently two games under .500 before the new year. They host the Suns tomorrow night in Oklahoma City.
