Kevin Durant has left Oklahoma City and the Thunder. The former MVP elected to remove himself from the organization he called home for nearly a decade. He left the Oklahoma City Thunder, he left general manager Sam Presti, owner Clay Bennett, head coach Billy Donovan, he left a teammate he’s had since their days with the Supersonics in Nick Collison and most notably, he left Russell Westbrook.
Durant’s departure made it possible for Russell Westbrook to be the leading man for his own team. Finally, Russ would be able to take command of his own squad and show what he has to offer without a looming return in sight. Russell Westbrook can now be the lead man for the Thunder. OKC fans were elated to learn that their star point guard would be re-signing and returning to their team. So how did Kevin Durant feel? It appears he’s not quite yet ready to talk about Westbrook’s return to Oklahoma City.

Durant on whether he'll contact Westbrook to offer congrats: "Nah, that's a touchy subject. I'll see once everything dies down." #Rio2016
