It's KD. He's humble. And Westbrook has been crazy good. But it was interesting Durant called RW "our best player" pic.twitter.com/3hw8xtihyi

Whether Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is talking about his teammate, Russell Westbrook, in the above video (courtesy of Anthony V Slater of the Oklahoman) in reference to the game, in which they lost to the undefeated Toronto Raptors, or overall on the team is up to interpretation. However you want to slice it, there’s no doubt either Durant or Westbrook is the best player on the Thunder. But really, does it matter? Can’t they both be great?
Durant has said before that he is the best player in the world and Westbrook has echoed those sentiments about Durant recently. This comment from KD comes shortly after Westbrook gushed about Durant following a big opening night home win against the San Antonio Spurs.
Last night, Westbrook posted an NBA-high 16 assists to go along with his 22 points and five rebounds. His eight turnovers might not have helped in the grand scheme of things but that’s neither here nor there.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who is the best player on the Thunder. We all know it’s either Durant or Westbrook, so instead of comparing, why don’t we just enjoy the show they give us on an almost nightly basis.
Check out the show Russell Westbrook put on last night against the Raptors.
